Problem Statement

The challenge

Dollar Bank's account opening flow existed largely outside the authenticated banking experience, creating a disconnected journey for existing customers who wanted to open additional accounts. Forms were long, instructions unclear, and the experience was not optimized for mobile completion.

Methodology

How the work moved

01

Ran stakeholder workshops and customer interviews to map pain points across the existing application form, confirmation states, and post-open account setup steps.

02

Led Sprint 6 (Account Opening) — generating concepts on Day 1, building wireframes anchored to business requirements including group banking, bill pay pre-enrollment, and auto-fill from existing account data.

03

Developed high-fidelity prototypes covering account type selection, personalized recommendations, pre-populated fields for authenticated users, and a streamlined onboarding checklist post-opening.

Results and Impact

What changed

35% increase in form completion rate during prototype testing compared to the existing flow.

25% faster time-to-submit measured during moderated usability sessions.

Roadmap items validated and handed off: Account Opening from OLB, Group Banking, Bill Pay pre-enrollment, and auto-fill registration from D&D to OLB.
